Project Belize 2012 – Expanding our Commitment
Last summer, 200 PwC partners, staff and interns participated in Project Belize, traveling to Belize City, Belize to teach financial literacy, build new environmentally friendly playground space, and connect with more than 1,200 students, teachers and members of the community. In the process, we built new relationships, learned about leadership and inspiring change, and saw how we can make a difference within our world.
Over the past four years we’ve twice taken our people to Belize to engage directly with students and teachers, and hosted two virtual programs. The Project Belize team continues to hear how our time and efforts have encouraged students to achieve more, and that the knowledge and resources we shared with teachers are helping others in the community. This project has connected our people to another part of the world and inspired so much, that it has inspired us to see what else we can do with Project Belize. So this summer, we’re doubling the size of our group traveling to Belize to include 400 interns, partners and staff.
