Belize City, Belize– For Immediate Release
The Radisson Fort George Hotel & Marina is very involved and dedicated in assisting our community where ever possible. So in that light and in keeping with Carlson's Worldwide Responsible Business Action Month, on Friday September 3rd, 2010; Ms. Pat Lamb, Green Team Leader along with some staff members and two students of the University of Belize headed over to the Stella Maris School's compound.
The team of Radisson's 23 staff members and 2 students of the University of Belize were greeted and welcomed by Stella Maris's Principal Ms. Joy Westby. Radisson's Team assisted with repairing of chicken coop and preparing of garden beds for the school's REAP Program and cleaning of the grounds and painting. Radisson Team logged a total of 80 service hours in one day. "Stella Maris express our utmost gratitude to the Radisson Fort George, we greatly appreciate the clean up campaign by the Radisson's hard working and friendly staff." Said Joy Westby, Principal of Stella Maris School. Two of Radisson's employees are past students of Stella Maris School. Radisson continues to assist Stella Maris as we plan to donate all door proceeds of our Film Showcase being held on September 12th - 16th, 2010 at the hotel. Our Film Showcase includes local and cultural short movies/stories.
