Fort George Hotel and Marina

On April 16th 2010, the Fort George Hotel and Marina Fort George Hotel & Marina hosted a fundraising dance in aid of the Rotary Club of Belize, Belize Visually Impaired and Belize Cancer Society. Knowing that Jim Scott (fundraising for Rotary's Cause) and Joe Garel (fundraising for BCVI ) were planning to climb Victoria's Peak on April 30th, a few staff members decided they would like to present the checks to the respective representatives at the end of their historic run.

This initiative stemmed from our community involvement and our commitment to social responsibility. The Fort George Hotel and Marina acknowledges the greater need in our community and both management and staff are driven to fundraise and assist wherever possible. Efforts include our annual carwash and dance to benefit various organizations.

Jim Scott was presented with a $1000.00 check and Joe Garel was presented with a $500.00 check. Check presentation to the Belize Cancer Society will be scheduled shortly.
